Yotsuya Senmaida is a breathtaking terraced rice field landscape fed by pure spring water from Mt. Kurakake (883 m). Stone walls line the slopes, creating a beautiful and traditional rural scene.
Supported by crystal-clear water, around 420 rice paddies stretch across a 200-meter elevation difference. This remarkable site has been selected as one of Japan’s “Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields.”
In 2019, a special “Tanada Card” was created to showcase the charm of these rice terraces, and this is the only location in Aichi Prefecture where it is distributed.
Please note that the rice terraces are privately owned and carefully maintained by local farmers. When visiting, kindly refrain from entering the fields or walking on the ridges, park only in designated areas, and take all trash with you to help preserve this beautiful landscape.
