The name “Chiiwa” originates from the stalactites shaped like breasts formed by the lime melted from tuff on the ceiling.
Inside the Chiiwa cave, many statues of Kannon (the goddess of mercy) are enshrined, and there is a natural stone gate called “Tsuutenmon” near the top of the mountain, which makes you feel overwhelmed.
The breathtaking views created by the beautiful gorge and unique rock give visitors a wonderful impression. (Excerpt from the official website)
