Chausuyama Highland is a scenic highland area centered around Mt. Chausuyama, the highest peak in Aichi Prefecture at 1,415 meters, located on the border of Aichi and Nagano.
Thanks to its elevation, it is often referred to as the place “closest to the sky” in Aichi.
Visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature throughout the seasons—pink moss phlox in spring, canoeing in summer, autumn foliage and blueberry picking in fall, and skiing in winter.
The area also features a free dog run, divided into a small dog area (approx. 800 m²) and a medium-to-large dog area (approx. 1,200 m²).
Small dogs are allowed on the sightseeing lift if kept on a leash, making it easy to explore the highland together.
